Decided to go with the YouTube Vlog Instead

Sorry to say that I completed my 10 day European Holiday with my son and didn't post one blog entry the entire time.

I decided instead to use the incredible little internet gadget that I bought a few months back to post a video log instead. The internet gadget that I used was a Sony Mylo2 with an 8GB memeory stick. The built-in video camera and wifi (wlan in Europe) capabilities allowed me to record little video clips and upload them directly to the internet where & whenever free internet was available.

I posted 80+ videos to my YouTube Channel"JohnsAbroad2009".

Please feel free to visit our channel and enjoy our trip that included Munich, Mad Ludwig's Castles, Garmisch (with our hike to the summit of Kramerspitz), Innsbruck, Salzburg & Berchtesgaden. It was a magical trip that went way too quickly. Hopefully the videos capture the majestic scenery, delicious food, fantastic beer and some of our humorous encounters.

Also, enjoy the Bonus photo montage compiled of shots taken of the little stuffed Pitt Bear that my daughter gave me before I left.
Is it really a coincidence that Haydn's Emperor's Hymn is used for both the Pitt Alma Mater and German National Anthem?

Thanks for stopping by and Auf Wiedersehen!

Anxious

Down to the final packing phase getting ready to walk out the door. Deb is out making copies of all the important documents and picking up a few last minute items (why don't euros fit in a regular wallet?) I'm terrified that I will forget something important...passport, license & int. drivers permit, credit cards, cash, hotel & car rental confirmations. Yeah, it is definitely going to be something I am not considering.

Anxious to see John and start this great adventure. Sad to be away from home and the rest of the family. I love them all so much. I've never been to Europe before and have never been away from home or work for this long either. I think anxious is the right word...it sounds better than worried, scared or stressed out beyond my limits. Yeah I'm definitely going with anxious.
